James is a specialist in leadership development, for the past 15 years working with individuals and organizations to advance leadership needs and goals. Thorough group facilitation and individual coaching at the managerial and executive levels, he acts as guide and support to build creative perspective, empowerment, and ability.
As an executive coach, he brings confidence and capacity to the relationship, and guidance and accountability to results driven by the coaching engagement. As a facilitator, he is known for creating a space simultaneously for individual insight and group potential, increasing both individual performance and group or team alignment.
In addition to having worked with organizations in a number of industries such as media, telecommunications, marketing, and manufacturing, he is an instructor in the Graduate Diploma in Leadership program at McGill University’s School of Continuing Studies, and is a Program Leader for public and private customized seminars at the McGill Executive Institute.
He is a graduate of the University of Oxford, and McGill University. He holds the CPCC (Certified Professional Co-Active Coach) certification from Coaches Training Institute. He sits on the Conseil d’administration of Pleins Pouvoirs/Kidpower, the Montréal chapter of a global nonprofit leader in personal safety and violence prevention education.
